Supporting Your Adventures
Hi, my name is Linda and my pronoun (they/she).
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor offering services via telehealth throughout the state of Oregon. I have unique training with two Masters Degrees: one in Sociology from UCSD and the other in Clinical Counseling from the California School of Professional Psychology. I completed internship training in substance use (moderation and abstinence approaches are both welcome here) and my post-graduate training has specialized in neurodiversity, especially in the effects of untreated autism spectrum disorder in adults. I work with your learning style and preferences--whatever combination works best for you, wherever you are: writing, sensory / movement-based approaches, relaxation, humor, venting, structured activity, psychoeducation, visual or experiential explorations. I am poly and queer-informed, affirming, and identifying.
I have completed specialized (WPATH) training on supporting trans or non-binary individuals through transition; diagnosing and helping individuals with ADHD and ASD; and managing post-traumatic stress. I can help you address issues of disclosure (coming out and/or remaining private) about disability status, gender, sexual orientation, and any other sensitive area. Finally, whether you have a career you love, are working to find a different job or profession, staying home/ caregiving, or are just trying to get through each day, I can help you be more effective in navigating life's challenges.
Regardless of your goals, my approach is personalized, collaborative, and empowering. Blending personal responsibility and respectful awareness of real challenges, I will work hard to help you gain confidence and skill in navigating life.
